A special ordinance authorizing the City Manager, or his designee, to enter into an Agreement for Encroachment License with MBH, LLC, dba Vandivort Hotel, LLC, for the purpose of allowing an encroachment onto City rights-of-way for the placement of lighted bollards on property located at 305 E. Walnut Street, under the same terms and conditions as encroachments are permitted on City rights-of-way under Chapter 98, Article VII of the Springfield City Code.

A special Ordinance accepting the bid of Reed’s Plumbing & Heating, Inc., in the amount of $88,390.00 for the construction of sanitary sewers in Sanitary Sewer District No. 89 of Section No. 18, located in the vicinity of Linro Lane at Kearney Street; declaring the work to be necessary; stating the intention to pay for all or part of the improvements from the proceeds of bonds; specifying those costs and expenses to be assessed against the properties in the district and the method by which the costs will be apportioned; setting forth the manner of payment, the lien of the assessments, and the duration of the lien; setting forth the interest rate to be charged on the tax bills; authorizing the City Manager, or his designee, to enter into a contract and to approve the bond for said improvement; and authorizing progress payments to be made to the contractor.

A special ordinance authorizing the City Manager, or his designee, to accept a grant from the Missouri Commission on Human Rights (MCHR) Fair Housing Partnership Initiative Funding Program to be used by the Mayor’s Commission on Human Rights and Community Relations (MCHRCR) for furthering its fair housing initiatives; and amending the budget of the Department of Planning and Development for Fiscal Year 2014-2015 in the amount of $1,000 to appropriate the grant funds.
